Ed is the founder and Managing Partner of CFO Connect®. He has over thirty years of financial management experience that includes start-ups and Fortune 50 companies in the life sciences and technology industries. Ed has served in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies, including Electron, Inc., Fluid Systems - Allied-Signal, Inc., Newpoint Corporation - Proxima Corporation, Nextec Applications, Inc., Mantra Bio, Inc. and Acelot, Inc. In the course of building and managing business, Ed has participated in several mergers and acquisitions, successfully raising over $100 million in equity financing and completing numerous debt financings both domestically and internationally.

Ed has also served on the Board of Directors for Digital Communications Solutions, Inc. (OTC: DCSX) and JMAR Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: JMAR), where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee.  He also served on the advisory board for Endeavor Bank (OTC: EDVR) , Fluid Systems International, Ltd, Consultant Locator. com, Inc., Tribal Luck, LLC, Nextec Applications International, Ltd Pte, and the University of San Diego, School of Business Alumni Association.

Ed has a BA degree from the University of California, San Diego, Revelle College and an MBA degree from the University of San Diego. He has also completed executive education courses in Corporate Governance at Harvard Business School.
